You could say that creativity was in my blood. Having an architect as a dad and a fashion designer as a mum it was only natural that I would be creative. Being a hairdresser I relate to hair as merely another medium to sculpt, colour and shape.
About 17 years ago an established artist David Poole inspired me to buy a canvas and just paint. I never looked back. In pursuit of knowledge I studied at Whitecliffe College of Art and Design under well-known abstract artist James Lawrence.
James has been my champion, hero and mentor. I remember him saying art is like learning to play music, learn the rules, throw them away and just jam! He taught me to let go of attachment and go with the flow.”
It’s been an amazing journey of experimentation, discovery and play. I love using colour so rich you could almost taste it. Forming texture and creating dimension has often been part of my plan. My current fascination is with the smoothness and reflection of resin. Painting and creating art feeds my soul.

"I like my paintings to have dimension, layers, interest. I want them to hold your eye while you meander around discovering hidden gems. Texture, layering gold, silver or copper leaf with resin, inks, powders and paint, stencilling, pouring are techniques I use to achieve this. I'm free and unlimited to experiment and play."
"Art washes away from the soul
the dust of everyday life"
